BROOKINGS – Brookings Economic Development Corporation is hosting the Brookings Area Workforce Conference on Thursday, July 25, at the Swiftel Center. The conference seeks to address issues facing the region’s employers and help them find solutions for continued growth and success.
“One of our workforce priorities is sharing best practices and ideas to assist our employers,” said Stacy Aesoph, BEDC’s director of workforce development. “We have a great line up of speakers and worked with Brookings Area Human Resources Association on which topics to pursue.”

In conjunction with the workforce conference, the Brookings Area Human Resources Association is hosting DisruptHR Brookings at Club 71 at the Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium from 4:30-9 p.m. This event features five-minute speeches by 15 speakers inspiring attendees to think and do things differently.
