BROOKINGS – The Brookings Area Chamber of Commerce has named Ashley Biggar of Brookings as the new director of Downtown Brookings.

Biggar currently works at the Swiftel Center as an event manager and will begin her new role at the Chamber on April 10.

The director of Downtown Brookings will be a visionary leader who works with the downtown committee to meet strategic objectives and goals, according to a Chamber press release. Biggar will be responsible for the development, conduct, execution and documentation of programs and events that promote the Downtown Business District.

“What gratitude I feel to be a part of the heartbeat of our community. I am privileged and ecstatic to serve Downtown Brookings and our city,” Biggar said.
