Entrants should submit a one page description that includes their product or business name, description, the problem the product solves, market description and stage of development. Finalists will be asked to give a five-minute pitch of their idea to a panel of judges on Tuesday, February 21st at the Brookings Innovation Center, located in the Research Park at SDSU. The deadline for submissions is Tuesday, February 14th.
Ideas may be submitted to firstname.lastname@example.org or delivered to Brookings Economic Development Corporation (BEDC) at 2301 Research Park Way, Suite 113, Brookings. A total of $2500 in prize money will be awarded, with receipt of money subject to winners reaching business milestones.
“We always look forward to seeing the unique ideas community residents and SDSU students have for new products and businesses,” said Jennifer Quail, Director of Entrepreneur Support. “This competition also provides the opportunity for entrepreneurs to gain valuable experience pitching their ideas to a panel of judges.”
