BROOKINGS – Thanks to heaps of donated materials from the community and support from the local Friends of the Library chapter, the Friends will once again hold their fall book sale at the Brookings Public Library. 

With books of all genres and other media, there is sure to be something for every interest at the sale next week. All proceeds from this sale will go toward the library’s programming and materials budgets. 

The event will open with a Friends of the Library members-only preview from 6-8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16. Memberships are sold at the library’s circulation desk and will be sold at the door on Wednesday. The sale will then run from 9:30 a.m.-8:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17; from 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Oct. 18-19; and from 1-3:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20.
